Money culture in kenyan politics: Question of morality vis a vis integrity in global view

This paper sought to understand and evaluate the money culture in politics. It is appreciable that politics in Kenya has undergone notable changes gravitating around multipartism to dominant singlepartism, and now to coalition politics. On many occasions, experiences of violence have marred Kenya’s political choice processes yet, one constant thing that seems to have evolved in the practice of elective politics in Kenya is ‘money culture’. Money perse in politics may not be bad because it is what drives political planning and facilitation.

Green marketing practices as a source of sustainability and competitive advantage: Indian perspective

Increased industrialization and ever growing consumerism has led to a situation where industrial pursuits of mankind have started to cast an unfavorable impact on environment that may prove self-destructive for the future. Earlier Developed countries, in their pursuit of economic development and progression to their current economic status, showed little respect for environmental concerns. But as on today, there is an increased awareness on part of their industries, governments and even consumers for conserving environment and cutting down on pollution.

Grain yield and functional properties of red gram applied with seaweed extract powder manufactured from kappaphycus alvarezii

The effect of seaweed extract powder (Aquasap powder) on germination and field trial on red gram was studied. Germination at 0.03% solution was very effective and recommended same concentration for seed treatment of red gram. Seaweed extract powder at 0.2% was applied in filed through foliar spray at the vegetative phase, pre-flowering stage and pod maturity phase of red gram and it found that it enhanced yield of net grain to 35.93%. However, no statistically significant differences in the functional properties of red gram (p≥0.05) between treated plants control plants were observed.

This article explores these different definitions of creativity; the connection between creativity and intelligence, and those factors which affect creativity, such as convergent and divergent thinking. In addition, the article explores the importance of computer technology for testing ideas and the importance of reflective thinking and the evaluation of thoughts.

Knowledge of street vendors in overcoming challenges associated with the government requirements– A South African case study

This study aims to determine whether micro-enterprises such as street vendors have administrative knowledge to overcome challenges associated with the government requirements. A questionnaire was administered to street vendors around the Johannesburg area to fulfil aims of this study. Descriptive results reveal a significant number of street vendors would abandon their current economic activity for jobs that pay at least US$200 a week; most street vendors have below high school education; and the vast majority of street vendors do not have any business administrative training.

Analysing of employment expectations of social work students in terms of some variables

This study aims to analyze employment expectations of social work students in Turkey. To that general objective, the study tries to examine whether employment expectations of social work students meaningfully differentiate depending on gender, age, university, compatibilitywith the professionin terms ofpersonal characteristics and satisfaction of professional choice. The data was collected through “Employment Expectation Questionnaire” consisting of two sections, developed by researchers to determine the employment expectations of social work students.

Environmental and socio-economic impacts of solid waste dumping and burning on the major motorways in developing countries

Population growth, increase urbanization and more demand for goods and services have caused the persistent rise in the volumes of solid wastes generation in the developing countries. This has posed threats to the environment and socio-economic indices. It is challenging that the management is becoming cumbersome as the dumpsites have been on rapid accumulation along major roadsides in Nigeria. This study assessed the environmental and socio-economic impacts of the roadside solid waste dumping and burning vis-à-vis the perceptions of the various groups of road users.

Self-confidence of senior secondary school students of shimla district

This study was conducted to study the self-confidence of senior secondary school students of Shimla district. Sample of the study consisted of 200(100 of each stream as well as area) school students on which Agnihotri’s Self-Confidence Inventory (ASCI) constructed by Dr. Rekha Agnihotri was administered. For the analysis and interpretation of of data the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied and‘t’ test was used where required. School students not differed in self confidence w.r.t. their gender and area. School students differed significantly in self confidence w.r.t. their stream.
