Land use mixing and urban infrastructure

Land use in urban areas are to date being regulated within the frame work of a development plan. One of the key components of the development plan is a proposed land use plan for a target year. Zoning is now a major tool for regulation of land use in urban area. Urban structure of the city is meant to provide facilities to the people. So, either the people go to the facilities or the facilities come to the people. The former part deals with zoning concept and zoning based urban structure is transport oriented.

Iot system security: challenges and prospective solutions

The increasing demand and use of IoT systems has no doubt made our lives very easy and comfortable. With day by day growth of technology, new kinds of attacks and threats are occurring each day. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the security of our networks and data. This paper tries to look at a variety of security problems that can be faced in the IoT Systems and their prospective solutions given by various authors. In the end, a comparative study of the problems addressed and the solutions given in each of the paper is done.

Software configuration management techniques and principles

Software Configuration Management (or Software Change Management) is defined as the task of tracking and controlling changes in software. It is a part of a larger field of configuration management. It helps in identifying individual elements and configurations, tracking changes, and version selection, control, and baselining. Software products are very complex to develop and are even more difficult to maintain. There are various problems faced in SCM such as balancing the costs of productions with benefits from increased sales of software products.

Detection of malignant melanoma usingartificial neural networks trained with particle swarm optimization algorithm

Malignant Melanoma is a type of cancerous cell which occurs in the skin and it is known as the deadliest form of all skin cancers. They sometimes develop from a mole with increase in size, irregular edges, change in color, itchiness or skin breakdown. If detected early, malignant melanoma can be treated successfully. In this paper, detection of the malignant melanoma is done by artificial neural network trained with particle swarm optimization algorithm. The features of the image are extracted using SIFT (Scale invariant feature transform) and SURF (Speeded Up Robust Features) techniques.

A proposed approach for image de-noising

The search for efficient image de-noising methods still is a valid challenge, at the crossing of functional analysis and statistics. In spite of the sophistication of the recently proposed methods, most algorithms have not yet attained a desirable level of applicability. All show an outstanding performance when the image model corresponds to the algorithm assumptions, but fail in general and create artifacts or remove image structures.

Acute toxicity evaluation of granules of majoon aarad khurma prepared with stevia rebaudiana as sweetener

Majoon Aarad Khurma (MAK) is a famous traditional Unani medicine formula. It has been used in the treatment of diseases including Jeryan (Spermatorrhea), Muqawwiea Bah (Aphrodisiac) and Mughallize Mani. In present study an important Unani compound formulation Majoon Aarad Khurma has been modified into granular form using natural sweetening agent Stevia rebaudiana it is new dosage form. According to development of new dosage form there is need of safety profile. A new drug is always studied for its toxic effects so that its safety profile and therapeutic dose range can be determined.

Current advancements and future enhancements in wireless communication

Wireless communication is the transfer of any information over some distance without the use of wires. Radio, or the use of radiated electromagnetic waves, is the only practical way of communicating with people or vehicles that move around on land, on the sea, in the air, or in outer space. It is the use of electromagnetic waves that permits the transmission and reception of information over a distance without the use of wires.

Novelties in microwave mixer design: new diode model, schematics and layout possibilities

Design steps of a 10 GHz diode mixer of a novel structure have been reported. In our earlier publication [1], the diode half H mixer was discovered at MHz frequencies (Fig. 1). In this paper, we show the 10 GHz realization of this mixer. First, diode modelling is detailed. A novel nonlinear DC model comprising of two ideal diodes in series with different parameters improves model accuracy compared to the case of one diode.

Artificial intelligence contribution to modern research

Focusing on examples of knowledge systems and machine learning, this paper illustrates the transfer of AI technology from science to real-world applications. Decades of AI research precede a rather short but significant period, in which companies report the useful exploitation of AI technology. This paper illustrates the role played by science, and it argues that AI is just beginning to produce an ever increasingly variety of real world applications.

Statistical modeling in agriculture for structural change

A statistical model is assumed for testing the structural change in agricultural data in different time periods (2000-2007 and 2008-2015) and in different regions (states) using G.C.Chow test (1960) and Damodar Gujarati dummy variable approach (1970) to analyze the data relating to India ,Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Chow test is general in nature, it merely tells whether the regressions are different or not without specifying whether the differences if any is due to difference in intercept terms or due to difference in the coefficients of particular explanatory variables.
