Inhibition effect of acalypha wilkesiana leaf extract on pitting corrosion of ferritic stainless steel in acidic medium

The study examined the possibilityof using extract ofAcalypha wilkesiana (AW)leafas green inhibitor for ferritic stainless steel (FSS).This was obtained in 0.5 M hydrochloric acid using gravimetric and potentiodynamic polarization (Tafel plots). The inhibitor, temperature and time concentration ranged from 0–10 percent v / v at 2 percent v / v interval to 30–60 ° C at 10 ° C interval at 3-18 days within a space of three days.Qualitative and quantitative analysis and Fourier Transforms Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy technique were used to characterize the sample.

Phytochemical and spectroscopy analytical characterizations of Acalypha-wilkesiana leaf as green corrosion inhibitor

The study examines the characteristics of the plant leaf extract of Acalypha Wilkesiana (copper leaf) by phytochemical analyses, Fourier transforms the techniques of infrarot spectroscopy (FT-IR) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The leaf extract was obtained using maceration techniques in 1,5 liters of 70% ethanol and 30% distilled water as solvent. FT-IR was carried out using model-8400S Spectrophotometer Schmadzu machine whereas GC-MS model 2010 Plus Schmadzu was used to analyze the extract.

Chinese food cultureina bite of china: a multi-model discourse analysis

The study of monomodal language in discourse linguistics needs to be combined with other fields, such as visual, auditory and media studies. Diet is closely related to culture, and diet culture is an important part of the splendid culture of China, which is the concentrated expression of people's production and lifestyle for thousands of years. It reflects people’s attitude towards life, and also represents the spirit and temperament of a nation. Chinese culture is of long standing and well established, and cultures in different fields have their own particularities.

Background: The use of High voltage stimulation in patients with pressure ulcers is very important, and thus the scientific evidence for its effectiveness needs to be evaluated through a systematic review. Objective: To provide updated evidence-based guidance for High voltage stimulation effects on the healing of pressure ulcers.

Information And Communication Technologies In Education: Availability And Uptake In Yenagoa Metropolis, Bayelsa State Of NIGERIA

The importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has become so strong in contemporary times. A descriptive survey, the research assessed availability of ICT devices and uptake by teachers in secondary schools in Yenagoa metropolis and make recommendations.43 mathematics teachers were purposively selected for the study; data were collected by questionnaire that has a reliability co-efficient of 0.73 and structured interview. These were cross-tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Mean scores cum percentages were reported.

Analysis on construction of geotechnical engineering curriculum group in the civil engineering for local colleges

Geotechnical engineering course group construction is an important part of the current "large civil" personnel training, involving a wide range of engineering, is a complex knowledge system, contains the precipitation of the wisdom of construction projects. Firstly, combined with the goal of training talents and the realization of training standard language, the paper roughly completes the construction of four related curriculum groups through questionnaire survey and statistics.

Identification of the advantages of laser ablation method for preparing the Nanomaterials: efficient, reliable and cost-effective

Laser ablation mechanism focuses a laser beam on a substrate for the removal of any surface material. The removed mass relies on the material itself, pulse length, intensity power and laser wavelength. Numerous benefits of laser ablation as compared to the traditional nanomaterials’ processes are utilized for the determination of chemical’s concentration level, their incidence or more specifically of the surface material. However, the substitute solutions go through a procedure of multiple steps which is hazardous for environment, time taking, obstinate and expensive.
