Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome is a hormonal disorder that is common among females of reproductive age. Hyperandrogenism in PCOS often manifests itself with the cosmetically disfiguring problems of acne. Bioptron Light Therapy proved efficacy in treatment of selective skin disorders. Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the effect of Polarized Light therapy on acne vulgaris in women suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Background: Drug discovery is the process by which therapeutic agents are identified and developed while drug delivery refers to the processes and technologies employed to provide vehicles through which therapeutic agents are administered to patients ensuring safety, efficacy, and quality. Synthetic materials were favoured against natural materials due to challenges of standardization and extensive characterization required for natural materials.

Pulmonary vein thrombosis (PVT) is an uncommon disease with a very similar clinical presentation as pulmonary artery embolism. We present a case of a 53 year old female patient who presented with chest pain and shortness of breath and was later found to have pulmonary vein thrombosis. The diagnoses was established with a CT scan of chest which showed a filling defect in a right segmental pulmonary vein. Patient was started on heparin drip and later discharged on oral apixiban. Three month later, CT scan showed resolution of thrombus.

Object: To describe the treatment and survival of OL (ovarian lymphoma) both primary and secondary. Method: Review of the literature (the study by Yun et al). Discussion: The review points out how the R-CHOP protocol appears to be superior to CHOP alone in terms of response and relapse rate in the case of secondary lymphoma ovarian involvement in DLBCL type. The HyperCVAD regimen is effective in other histotyps.The estimated five-year survival rates for primary and secondary ovarian involvement by DLBCL-type lymphoma are 70.0% and 59.3%, respectively.

Epithelial downgrowth syndrome represents a significant complication subsequent to ocular surgery or trauma. Herein, we present a comprehensive description of a specific case of this complication following an eye trauma in a child of 8 years old. This case highlights the challenges in diagnosing and managing epithelial downgrowth syndrome, particularly in pediatric patients following traumatic eye injuries.

The aim of this study was to invest igate the influence of self-concept on health compromising beh aviours among adolescents in Adabraka, Accra. Cluster sampling technique was used to select 120 adolescent students from All Saints Anglican Junior High School and Calvary “1” Methodist Junior H igh School. Data was collected using self- reported scale which consisted of the Adapted Robson Self Concept Questionnaire (Robson, 1989), Adapted Adolescent Alc ohol and Drug Involvement Scale (Moberg, 2000), and Se xualR isk Survey (Turchik&Garske, 2009).

Lactose intolerance is one of the common clinical condition dealt in pediatrics. Most commonly the child present with abdominal pain and bloating, diarrhea, nausea and flatulence upon consuming food substances containing lactose. In most cases symptomatic management and avoidance of lactose containing food is taken as a solution. Main clinical findings and Diagnosis: In this case, a 5 month old baby was presented with passing watery stools upon intake of breast milk. The symptoms resolved on stopping breast milk and she was given cerelac, as substitute for breast milk.

Takayasu arteritis is a relatively rare type of large-vessel arteritis that primarily affects the aorta and its major branches, the coronary arteries, and the pulmonary arteries. Depending on the different groups of blood vessels involved in the disease process, the clinical presentation of Takayasu arteritis varies.Takayasu arteritis (TA) is a chronic vasculitis disease of unknown etiology. Clinically significant renal disease is relatively common, and renovascular hypertension is the major renal problem.

The aim of this review is to explore the factors contributing to poor maternal mental health that is prevalent in China and to evaluate what has been done so far, as areas for improvement will be deduced so that recommendations can be given. Some of the factors influencing maternal anxiety in China are: lack of access to appropriate counselling centres, preference for the male child, marital tensions and the low status of women in the Chinese society.

Background: There are known marginalized groups in Zambia when it comes to sexual and reproductive health. These groups are, adolescents, women and girls seeking abortion, the LGBTQI community, sex workers, prisoners and persons living with disabilities. For health inequality and inequity to be achieved in Zambia, this issue must be addressed. Objectives: The aim of this review is to investigate the sexual and reproductive health accessibility among the marginalized groups in Zambia and to give recommendations of the gaps identified.
