Fetiform teratoma: a rare cause of retroperitoneal mass: A case report

Fetiform teratoma is a rare highly developed mature teratoma with organoid differentiation although it is not as developed as fetus in fetus which is the only differential diagnosis of this entity. It should be distinguished from the fetus in fetu by absence of the axial skeleton. However, there is controversy in the distinction between Fetus in Fetu and fetiform teratoma and that both entities could represent two aspects of the same pathology at different stages of maturation.

Anaphylaxis following chromopertubation with methylene blue is rare and can be associated with serious complications. This case report discusses a 32-year-old nulliparous woman with primary infertility due to bilateral tubal blockage, who developed anaphylaxis following chromopertubation with methylene blue during a tuboplasty procedure. Immediate recognition, resuscitation with epinephrine, intravenous fluids, oxygen supplementation and close monitoring is crucial in these cases.

Awareness of type 2 diabetes mellitus amongst non -healthcare students of a university in Malaysia

This study investigates the level of awareness about Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) among non-medical students at AIMST University, analysing the knowledge and misconceptions surrounding the causes, symptoms, and management of T2DM. The research aims to explore awareness differences across gender and ethnicity among students. Our sample size was 158 respondents, with participants being between 21-23 years of age from the faculties of engineering and business.

Here, we are presenting a case of a spina bifida patient with a difficult airway and lower respiratory tract infection posted for above-knee amputation managed with spinal anaesthesia as an anaesthetic technique.
