Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis L.) is an important medicinal plant in herbal medicine. The main constituent of the essential oil of the plant is citral (geranial and neral), citronellal and geraniol. Lemon balm has been traditionally used for different medical purposes as tonic, antispasmodic, carmiative, diaphoretic, surgical dressing for wounds, sedative-hypnotic strengthening the memory and headache. Lemon balm is also used as flavouring in ice cream and herbal teas, often in combination with other herbs such as spearmint. It is also frequently paired with fruit dishes or candies.

Dyke- Davidoff- Masson syndrome [DDMS] is a rare clinical entity characterized by seizures , facial asymmetry, contralateral hemiparesis and mental retardation. The radiological features are cerebral hemiatrophy with homolateral hypertrophy of skull and sinuses. We are reporting a case of DDMS in a 2 years old female child who presented with right sided weakness , occasional episodes of seizures and delayed milestones.

Background: Stein-Leventhal syndrome, also called polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy that affects women.Has been one of a major public health problem in Sudan that leads to medical consequences. It causes multifactorial in etiology such as menstrual dysfunction, hyperandrogenism, hirsutism, insulin resistance (IR), dyslipidemia and obesity which increased risk of diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. We know that if patients with PCOS are screened for these diseases, many long-term complications can be prevented.

It undergoes a ferroelectric phase transition at 72 K, releasing latent energy as wavelength λ ~ 4μ infrared laser light. Ice formed in polar regions during a primordial ice age emitted such light; polarised by multiple reflection it photophosphorylated deoxynucleotides on equatorial waters, creating chiral ‘transport DNA’, tDNA. tDNAs embedded in the membranes of proto-cells charged by lightning formed H-bond lined pores.

World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared Obesity as one of top ten health risk in the world (2000) and this is because it increases the risk of life threatning conditions, including Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Heart disease, sleep disorders and many cancers and feeling of alienation from society. Young generation is prone to many medical disorders which are related to Obesity. Obesity is a growing serious medical condition that demands a preventive management.

Coronal fractures of the patella are an uncommon occurrence as compared to transverse fracture of the patella. We present a case of comminuted displaced fracture of the patella with disruption of the patellofemoral articulation which was treated with cancellous screws. Immediate mobilisation and active physiotherapy was started. The scope of the study was to identify the pattern of patella fracture, treat it accordingly and return to the patient the near normal knee motion so as to decrease the dependency of the patient on others for her activities of daily living.

These diets typically don't result in long-term weight loss and they are usually not very healthy. In fact, some of these diets can actually be dangerous to your health.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of membranes stripping in induction of labour in low-risk patients at term pregnancy (38-40 gestational weeks) Methods: This prospective study included 140 antenatal women who were randomly assigned to one of two groups: a stripping of the membranes group (n=70) and a no stripping control group (n=70). The primary outcome measure was the proportion of women who entered spontaneous labor within 1 week of entry into the study. Secondary outcome measures included mode of delivery and maternal and fetal complications.

Subject: To compare the efficacy of ceftriaxone before skin incision and after cord clamping in preventing post-operative infectious morbidity in elective caesarean section. Methods: Our study was a randomized controlled trial conducted among 200 women undergoing elective caesarean section in the Obstetrics & Gynecological Department, Babylon Hospital of Babylon government from 8/ 2015 to 10/ 2015. All caesarean section were performed using standard technique. Post-operative care followed standard clinical practice. Group 1: received single dose of ceftriaxone 1 g intravenously 24 hr.

Partially edentulous patients with challenging conditions like abused ridges, allergy to denture resins, undercuts due to angulated remaining teeth, cancerous lesions and cleft palate pose a great challenge for the fabrication of a successful removable partial denture. In such cases flexible dentures offer a comfortable and affordable option. It was a long thought that removable partial dentures had to be rigid but with innovation of flexible dentures, flexibility combined with strength and light weight provides total comfort and great looks.
