Research productivity of social sciences has become an integral part for personal, organizational and national development especially in south Asia and particularly in Pakistan. Complexities of a developing country, individual and structural factors often constitute several problems in the execution of the social research venture. The purpose of the research is to understand various issues regarding research productivity in social sciences in academia and to increase public awareness.

Depression among peri- and post-menopausal women: a review of literature

Varied evidenceshave been presented in literature about the link between menopause and depression. During menopausal transition, women experience uncomfortable symptoms due to the gradual depletion of the ovarian hormones. This hormonal imbalance predisposes peri- and post-menopausal women to the incapacitating depressive disorder which can adversely affect their behavior and way of life.

Students’ perception on electronic books towards reading comprehension

This study sought to determine the effects of class size on academic achievement of the pupils. A meta-analysis was undertaken from studies published in 2008 onwards that reported data on class size of elementary schools and pupils’ academic achievement. The primary hypothesis for this thesis was there was a significant effect between class size and pupil’s academic achievement. An extensive systematic review of the literature was conducted using bibliographic databases and other sources, resulting in the review of hundreds of abstracts and articles.

Chemical Analysis Of Herbal Paneer

The Present study investigate the biochemical analysis of herbal paneer prepared from Ginger, Rosemary and Thyme herbs , all three herbs were procured rom local area of Dehradun. Moisture, ash, pH, Titrable acidity and free fatty acids were performed in lab. The results were moisture content of paneer was found to be 51.8%, the ash content of paneer was found to be 1.43% Free Fatty Acid was found in paneer is 2.69%.

Potability and quality analysis of selected borehole water in port harcourt metropolis rivers state, Nigeria

The study examined the potability and quality analysis of borehole water in selected communities in Port Harcourt Metropolis. Experimental and cross-sectional research method was adopted. Primary and secondary data sources were used. Random sample technique was used to select (9) nine communities for water sampling. Nine boreholes were purposively sampled in the nine communities for laboratory analysis on the physical, chemical, microbial parameters and heavy metals were tested.

Adequacy and effectiveness of disaster and emergency communication tools in the Management of disaster risk incidents in calabar south local government, cross river state, Nigeria

This study examined the adequacy and effectiveness of disaster and emergency communication tools in crisis situation in Calabar South local government. Study method was the cross sectional survey involving the use of questionnaires. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed to the sampled communities and key informants to elicit responses. The data collections were grouped according to research questions. The data were organized and presented in tables. Frequency counts of agree and disagree responded were obtained and mean scores were used for data analysis.

The programme has evolved over the years necessitating a study to assess its efficacy thereby validating the need for its continuation in the coming decades and beyond.
