Neurobics and sanskar remodelling- Its role in diabetic management

Aim: To assess the effect of Neurobics and Sanskar Remodelling in Diabetic management by, blood sugar, WHO-QOL and body mass index studies through an interventional study. Method: This was a intervention, nonrandomised , pre and post study, conducted in the Department of Physiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha. The period of study was 1 year and study participants were diabetic patients and diabetic with hypertension patients aged between 15-90 years including both sexes. This was a non probability purposive sampling study.

Oral habits in children-A prevalence study

Aim: The aim of the study is to find out the most common oral habit prevalent in children. Background: Oral habits, especially if they persist beyond the preschool age, have been implicated as an important environmental etiological factor associated with the development of malocclusion. Prevention of the habit may help in eliminating the malocclusion. Early detection and elimination of the habit will go a long way in reducing and eliminating the incidence of malocclusion.

Awareness of fluoride in tooth paste among patients

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the awareness of fluoride containing tooth paste among the adult patients. Objective: The main objective is to know the patients knowledge about fluoride containing tooth paste and its benefits in prevention of caries. Background: The role of fluoride is well documented in the caries process when it is present in the oral cavity. This study helps in assessing patients knowledge about fluoride containing tooth paste and its effects in prevention.

Synovial haemangioma of the knee: A case report

We report our clinical experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with synovial hemangioma. Synovial hemangiomas are uncommon causes of recurrent, nonspecific joint complaints and occur most often at the knee joint. Non traumatic joint swelling combined with recurrent hemorrhagic joint effusions must be considered signs of a synovial hemangioma. Although no preoperative diagnostic tool enables confirmation of the diagnosis, and MRI seems to be the diagnostic investigation of choice. It is important for the clinician to be aware of the existence of this disease.

Effects of dates fruit (phoenix dactylifera l.) in the female reproductive process

Date fruit has a high nutritional value that has benefits for health. It has been known the effects of date fruit on the male reproductive system to strengthen the spermatogenesis process, sex hormone regulation, to increase gonadotropin and aphrodisiac activity, but very little research of the dates benefits on the female reproductive system. Date's may has effect on oocyte quality, the interaction of sperm and ovum, implantation and early embryonic development through an antioxidant mechanism. The antioxidants of date fruit can also be useful for the DNA repair from pro-oxidant damage.

Recent advances and modifications of dental restorative materials - A review

The dental restorative materials represent a unique class of biomaterials with some restrictions in physical, mechanical and biological properties like biocompatibility, aesthetics, and ultimate material properties. Fortunately, the dental restorative materials have been the focus of a great deal of research in recent years with the goal of improving restoration performances by changing the initiation systems (composite), fillers (GIC) and by developing novel polymerization strategies (composites) etc.

Miracle of saliva in diagnosis of oral cancer

Using saliva for disease diagnostics and health surveillance is a promising approach as collecting saliva is relatively easy and non-invasive. Over the past two decades, using salivary biomarkers specifically for early cancer detection has attracted much research interest, especially for cancers occurring in the oral cavity and oropharynx, for which the five-year survival rate (62%) is still one of the lowest among all major human cancers.
