Aim: This study was done to evaluate the efficacy of the post-operative antibiotic therapy in reducing post-operative indiscriminate use of antibiotics and to evaluate whether it is important to give antibiotics regime in asymptomatic tooth extraction. Methods and Materials: The sample of 60 patients were selected in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College and Hospital. Group A being the study group were NSAIDs given and antibiotics regime was excluded and Group B being the control group were antibiotics regime was given.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinoma is an aggressive neoplasm with a high recurrence potential. Its location in the Sino nasal tract is considered a rare disease. CT and MR imaging features of these tumors are nonspecific. Paranasal sinus neuroendocrine carcinomas showed expansion and destruction of the sinus. Endoscopic examination is complementary to imaging and mandatory in order to reveal early stage tumour and its extension. Treatment recommendations for this entity vary considerably due largely to a lack of consensus and variable pathological classification.

A cross-sectional survey design utilizing an ex-post factor design was adopted to validate the Gaming Addiction Scale (GAS) using Nigerian secondary school adolescents. A purposive sampling technique was used to select the 338 (mean age and SD13.60 ±1.867) participants made up of 149 males and 189 females from several randomly selected secondary schools in a Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.

Healthcare professionals, especially dentists, are exposed to a higher risk of getting infected due to close contact with infected patients. Despite having a high standard of knowledge and practice, dental practitioners around the globe are in a state of anxiety and fear while working in their respective fields due to the COVID-19 pandemic impact on humanity.

Cygb is an O2 carrier protein expressed by fibroblasts. In fibrosis, hypoxia occurs as characterized by stabilization of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), which later form the HIF-1, a transcription factor for the expression of adaptation proteins (including Cygb). The purpose of this study was to obtain information about Cygb role in fibrosis hypoxia using keloid tissue as a model. This was an observational descriptive study using keloid tissue samples, and the preputium as control. Measurement of Cygb and HIF-1α mRNA expression by real-time RT–PCR.

The purpose of this work is to assess the satisfaction of the hospitalized patients at eleven (11) MCO departments of the University Hospital Center of ORAN (UHC). Materials and Methods: We have carried out a prospective study during 15 days of two samples (groups) of eleven (11) hospital depts. Picked at random during the periods of October-November 2017 and December-January 2018.

Sheehan's syndrome (SS) or postpartum hypopituitarism is a rare condition due to the necrosis of the pituitary gland. More often, this is caused by acute hypotension or hypovolemia related to excessive haemorrhage with or after delivery. The following article sheds light on the evolution of pituitary changes and also tackles the differential diagnosis involving Sheehan syndrome by means of MR imaging in a female patient after caesarean delivery.

Background: In this era of digital innovation, mobile health (mHealth) has emerged as a novel concept in the health care industry. Mobile Health is defined as using mobile communications for health interventions and information, and involves the use of portable devices that are capable of creating, storing, retrieving, and transmitting data to improve the safety, quality of care, and health of end users. However, the efficacy of these apps in improving healthcare delivery to Muslim pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia each year is yet to be determined.

Background: The JAK2 V617F mutation has been noted in a majority of cases of polycythemia Vera, essential thrombocythemia, and primary myelofibrosis patients but occurs less frequently in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) about 5% of the cases; In Morocco, the Incidence of MDS will increase significantly in our country, MDS will be the disease of national public health. The aim of the current study was to determine prevalence of JAK2V617F mutation in Moroccan patients with MDS, and to compare characteristics of JAK2 mutation group to JAK2 wild type group.
