Background: At the beginning of the pandemic in Spain, concern was raised about the need to hospitalize the elderly living in nursing homes affected by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). A multidisciplinary hospital team was formed in Valladolid (Spain) to medicalize these facilities. Methods: 835 elderly residents (70% women and 30% men) of six nursing homes were analyzed.

Pneumonia is the major cause of morbidity and mortality among young children. Globally, there are over 1,400 cases of pneumonia per 100,000 children, or 1 case per 71 children every year and is responsibe for the lives of over 800,000 children under five every year, including over 153,000 newborns. Objective: To identify sociodemographic factors and clinical characteristics of pneumonia in children between 1 month to five years of age. Materials & Methods: Hospital based prospective cohort study conducted at tertiary teaching institution in North India.

Diagnosed clinically as activity-related anterior knee pain associated with focal patellar tendon tenderness it is frequently the source of chronic pain and limits athletic practice and performance. . The prevalence of jumper's knee (patellar tendinopathy) is high, up to 40%‐50%, in sports characterized by high demands on leg extensor speed and power, such as volleyball, basketball, football, and athletics.

Background: Myofascial trigger points (TrP) are one of the most overlooked and ignored causes of musculoskeletal pain. Purpose: This current study is designed to investigate and compare the effects of extracorporeal shockwave and high-power pain threshold ultrasound in treating myofascial trigger points in upper trapezius. Materials and methods: This study will be conducted in outpatient clinic of faculty of physical therapy in Egyptian Chinese University. Sixty patients with upper trapezius trigger point participated in the study and each participant read and signs the consent form.

COVID-19 pandemic has become a global health crisis, but its effects are not confined to health sector. Education is one of the most sensitive sectors that is severely affected by this pandemic. Background: Apnea of prematurity (AOP) is one of the most common diagnoses in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), likely secondary to a “physiologic” immaturity of respiratory control that may be exacerbated by neonatal disease. It may be associated with bradycardia, cyanosis, brain damage, neuro developmental complications, and even death. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of tactile and olfactory stimulation on neonatal behavior of premature infants with apnea.

Extramuscular soft tissue myxomas are extremely rare with only 4 documented cases in english literature till date. Myxomas are benign connective tissue tumours of unclear histogenesis and etiology. Virchow coined the term Myxoma in 1871 while Stout defined the criteria for diagnosis in 1948. Cardiac Myxomas are the most commonly reported and researched, and surgery is the accepted treatment modality. Extra cardiac myxomas are less common and predominantly occur in the head neck region.

This is due to the use of a limited set of treatment methods mainly in the field of biochemistry and ignoring many scientific advances in biology and biophysics.
