Background: Swimmer’s shoulder pain is one of the most common injuries in elite swimmers; it is estimated that up to 65% of competitive swimmers will experience a problem with their shoulders at some point in their careers. In general, suffering a shoulder injury can affect the shoulder joint’s stability and mobility, and can affect the overall performance of swimmer athletes. Aim of the study: The study aimed at investigating the effect of Kinesio-taping on shoulder pain in the rehabilitation of adolescent swimmers with shoulder overuse injuries. Methods: Fifty adolescent swimmers of both genders, aged between 10 and 14 years and suffering from shoulder pain were selected and randomized into two equal groups (25 patients each). The first group received physical therapy program (i.e., strengthening exercises, stretching, and range of motion exercises) in addition to Kinesio-taping. The second group received only physical therapy program. After 12 sessions, the shoulder pain of both groups was assessed. Results: Kinesio-taping produced a significant reduction in shoulder pain and a significant increase in the Pain threshold of the study group compared to controls (p < 0.0001) after applying kinesio-tape in the study group compared with controls. Conclusion: Kinesio-taping is an effective therapeutic modality that can be added to rehabilitation programs for the sake of treating overuse injuries in adolescent competitive swimmers.

Aim: Find alternatives for the control of the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), in Togo, through mineral fertilization of maize. Methods: A completely random block design of four treatments repeated four times was used at the agronomic station of Tchitchao. Three doses of fertilizer, NPK15-15-15 at 200 kg/ha, NPK20-10-10 at 200 kg/ha and the combination 100 kg/ha NPK15-15-15 +100 kg/ha NPK20-10-10; were tested in comparison with the absolute control from November 2019 to March 2020. Results: The results show that the mean number of egg clusters is significantly higher (P=0.0220) between 16th and 22nd DAS on the treatment combination than on the rest of the treatments (NPK15-15-15 at 200 kg/ha, NPK20-10-10 at 200 kg/ha and the absolute control. Also, between the 16th and 19th DAS, the infestation rates remain significantly higher between the combination of treatment and treatment with NPK20-10-10 at 200 kg/ha (0.0182). Conclusion: Fertilization has an influence on the incidence of the fall armyworm and can then be used as an option in integrated pest management.

The therapeutic efficacy of Jurinea dolomiaea (root) was selected to analyse the anti-diabetic and anti-oxidant activities of their crude plant extract. The plant samples were extracted from polar solvents viz. n-hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol and water. Further crude extracts were screened for the presence of phytochemicals such as alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols etc. The quantitative analysis of phenols, flavonoids, alkaloids was performed by spectrophotometrically. The evaluation of anti-oxidant activity was determined by DPPH and ABTS methods. The anti-diabetic activity of crude extracts was determined by in vitro α-amylase inhibition method. The methanolic extract was significantly showed DPPH IC50 inhibition at 20 µg/mL, ABTS inhibition IC50 at 30µg/mL and in vitro α-amylase inhibition IC50 at 50µg/mL. It is concluded that methanolic extract has the potential source of anti-oxidant and anti-diabetic activity.

Dental public health has long focused on traditional oral health promotion and disease prevention strategies as the basis of community oral health programs. ‘Precision’ public health (PPH) is conceptualised as a means of improving population health through the use of new technologies, particularly genomics and digital, which would guide public health practice by generating more individually tailored interventions and policies. The purpose of this article is therefore to highlight some of the evidentiary and philosophical challenges for the concept of ‘precision public health’ which have not been exposed to sufficient scrutiny. It is also to argue for a more considered focus beyond the genome, lest we career headlong towards a diversion of resources, away from what really matters, to the detriment of population health. Despite, opportunities for precision public health, many challenges lie ahead. The added value of new tools and approaches to public health practice needs to be evaluated just like precision tools should be evaluated in medicine. A sustainable informatics capacity is also needed to enhance connectivity and interoperability of clinical, laboratory, and public health systems. The rapid review also denotes a few ways to improve and implement Precision Public Health in Indian Scenario, for providing a productive, promoting health care system in mere future.

Events like the easing of the US Government’s clutches over the Internet technologies in the late 1980s, the coming of the World Wide Web from CERN, the European Nuclear Research Labs, around the same time, and the spread of mobile telephony in India in 1990s, have triggered Governments’ interest in honing of these technologies for delivery of citizen services. By the end of the first decade of the third millennium CE, several e-Governance projects were afoot in India. Almost a score of years is passed since India saw one of its pioneering e-Governance projects – Drishtee. Success stories of e-Governance portals abound, there is another facet of the delivery of public services through digital electronic means. The fruits of these projects can be reaped to an extent severely limited by the Great Indian Digital Divide. Firstly, E-Governance projects are rarely fully digital sans humans, and secondly, the rural-urban and gender-based digital divide poses serious limiting challenges to such endeavours. The present communication studies the gaps between the promises made in e-governance concept papers and the ground realities of e-governance projects in the specific context of e-governance services rendered by the Haryana Government.

This study aims to study the lived experiences of CSU students in the conduct of asynchronous and synchronous teaching modalities in Social Science courses. The respondents of this study are students enrolled in the subjects, including Ethics, Life, and Works of Rizal, and Readings in Philippine History, in the 2nd semester, AY 2021-2022, in Caraga State University-Ampayon, Butuan City, who have synchronous and asynchronous classes. Based on the findings, six themes emerged namely: challenges, adjustments, interventions, academic supports, good experiences, and other supports. The lived experiences and challenges of CSU students in the conduct of synchronous and asynchronous Social Science have six components: technical preparation, the readiness of instructional materials, teaching delivery from the point of view of students, parent support, social aspect, and mental health, and faculty preparation. The academic support availed among students have six components: institutional support, logistic support, technical support, faculty support, and monitoring and evaluation. Hence, academic supports are support given to the students based on their experiences and challenges shared. The students' lived experiences in synchronous classes are centered on social interactions among themselves. However, their challenges are centered on the medium of instruction and academic sources. In contrast, asynchronous courses have a minor theme in which students have different experiences. Thus, lived experiences of student help are more apparent in asynchronous where the class is not in session and the students are free to discuss themselves. Moreover, this encourages collaborative activities in the classroom setup and provides socialization among the students. Feedback from the faculty is pressed on students' performance and revisiting the objective in the syllabi is highly recommended.

PandemicCOVID-19 beat every human body system leading to multi-organ disorders impacting medical, health care, socioeconomic and overall quality of life in every country. After recovery from acute infection, a significant number of the population develop persistent signs and symptoms lastingmore than three months or more termed a post-COVID syndrome (PCS), persisted post-COVID syndrome (PPCS), and long COVID. A rehabilitation program of multidisciplinary specialties was established to control and treat PCS.Physical exercise training exerts immunomodulatory effects that can enhance recovery, improvequality of life, provide immune protection, modulates inflammation, and stimulates nitric oxide synthesis pathways against PCS.Electrotherapy can prevent muscle atrophy, improve muscle strength, and function, and maintain blood flow in PCS.We must rememberfactors in PCS rehabilitationare quality of life, activities of daily living, pain, sleep quality, nutritional status, mood, and necessity of returning to work.Electrotherapy in form of high tone power therapy which has a special characteristic of amplitude and frequency able to control post-COVIDsymptoms and improve quality of life. In this context, we will briefly discuss a new concept of rehabilitation in post-covid syndrome.
