    ABSTRACT:

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short range remote correspondence innovation, which works in the guideline of attractive acceptance. A little electric current is made by per user that thus makes an attractive field in the physical between the gadgets. A tag gets empowered from the field. NFC labels are fit for store information in it and are either perused just or rewriteable. Due to its protected nature used to store individual information, for example, plastic and Visa data, PINs and systems administration contacts. The correspondence run in NFC is constrained to inside 10 centimeters; this gives a substantial level of characteristic security. Despite the fact that to keep the lost or stolen gadgets from unapproved NFC exchanges, validation or authentication ought to be performed before every exchange. This work provides high level security in NFC so that data received by the receiver should be error free. In this work, performance analysis is done by using different parameters and shows that proposed mechanism is more secure than others.

    ABSTRACT:

This study focuses on seasonal dissimilarities of zooplankton structure of selected lentic habitats in and around the Hospet city, Karnataka state. Three lentic habitats were identified and sampling was done in the identified four location of the selected water tanks and assessed for its water quality status based on its physico-chemical parameters (temperature, pH, total dissolved solids, hardness, calcium, phosphate, nitrate and dissolved oxygen), during February 2015 to January 2016. A total of 16 species belonging to four groups of zooplankton like 4 protozoan, 4 rotifera, 3 cladocera and 3 copepodain the present study. The physico-chemical parameters of water were compared with standard values recommended by BIS and WHO. Significant correlation in water quality and zooplankton abundance were observed in different seasons. In the present study, the total zooplankton population was low in summer, moderate in pre monsoon, monsoon and high in post- monsoon. The zooplankton structure was more in the Daroji water tank to the lowest at Kampli tank water then Somalapura water tank. Zooplankton populations have shown positive correlation with all the physico-chemical parameters in pre-monsoon, except pH (-0.8686).

    ABSTRACT:

Background: Knowledge of root canal anatomy is essential for the success of endodontic treatment. The introduction of Conebeam computed tomography (CBCT) to dentistry has led to increase the accuracy of internal anatomy assessment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of CBCT imaging technique to assessing mesial root canal type in mandibular first molars. Material and methods: 64 mandibular first molars were chosen and fixed in a base plaster model mixed with Sawdust then scanned by CBCT. A radiologist and an endodontist independently assessed the mesial canals morphology, this assessment was repeated seven days later. The canal configurations were categorized using Vertucci's classification and compared to the same teeth after making them transparent and examined by a blind evaluator under stereomicroscope. The results from of endodontist and radiologist’s observation in both evaluation were compared to each other and to the gold standard (stereomicroscope data) using the weighted kappa test. Results: Endodontist’s evaluations were both strongly correlated with the gold standard data (spearman correlation coefficient=0.7 and 0.9 for first and second evaluation respectively, p<0.001), likewise the radiologist’s evaluations had similar results (spearman correlation coefficient=0.8 and 0.9 for first and second evaluation respectively, p<0.001). Intra-observer reliability was excellent for both endodontist (k=0.79) and radiologist (k=0.80). Conclusions: The validity of CBCT to explore the morphology of mesial root canals of mandibular first molars has been proved in this article.

    ABSTRACT:

Iron Deficiency Anemia is a major public health problem which affects all age groups. Women in reproductive years are more susceptible to iron deficiency and consequent anemia. A lot of reasons are a part of the etiological factors of anemia and diet being one of the major cause. A poor, nutrient deficient diet makes anemia part of a vicious cycle which fails to end. The present study is aimed at development of laddoos, which are rich in iron by incorporating garden cress seeds at various levels. Garden cress seeds are highly nutritious and are excellent source of iron which is 100 g/ 100g of seeds. These are readily available and can be used for food fortification. In this study 4 variations of laddoos were prepared viz., A, B, C and D by incorporating 2.5g, 5g, 7.5g and 10 g of garden cress seeds, respectively. All the four variations were subjected to sensory evaluation. Variation D was found to be the most acceptable one. The nutrient content was calculated to be around 10.50g/100g of the product.

    ABSTRACT:

Ectodermal dysplasia (ED) is a hereditary disorder characterized by abnormal development of certain tissues and structures of ectodermal origin, like the sweat glands, scalp hair, nails, skin pigmentation, and craniofacial structures. Orofacial characteristics of this syndrome include anodontia or hypodontia, hypoplastic conical teeth, underdevelopment of the alveolar ridges, frontal bossing, a depressed nasal bridge, protuberant lips, and hypotrichosis. A 12-year-old male patient exhibiting the classical features of HED (hypohidrosis, hypotrichosis and hypodontia), visited our Department of Prosthodontics at Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha Dental College and Hospital . In the clinical and radiographic evaluation, it was evident that the only erupted teeth were three conical teeth in the anterior region and one posterior tooth in the left side of the maxillary arch. Resin composite restoration of occlusal morphology of anterior conical teeth followed by provisional removable partial dentures in the maxillary arch and complete denture in the mandibular arch was fabricated for prosthodontic rehabilitation of this patient after considering his growth and the number and condition of his present teeth. At the 6-month follow-up no major complications occurred and definitive treatment can be planned (if necessary) after the completion of growth.

    ABSTRACT:

In this study, we examine the valuation of Initial Public offering (IPO) of 109 different companies during the three time periods - January 2014 to December 2014, January 2015 to December 2015 and January 2016 to December 2016. This period is designated as the period when India was regaining the political stability. Four fundamentals affecting the valuation of the IPO during this period were taken into consideration.Once we control four fundamentals (such as offer price, Operating Income or Profit before depreciation, interest, tax and amortization (PBDITA), Book Value per share, and insider retention) and allow for different valuation of these fundamentals across different time periods, average valuations of IPO’ during the period were not statistically different. The determinants considered by us do not majorly affect the valuation of the IPO. However, the IPO valuation was influenced by the approaching political stability in the country. Due to increasing political stability the number of IPO’ also increased.

    ABSTRACT:

In a competitive and brand conscious market, like Kenya, building brand equity of any product is a challenging task. Companies need to assess the prior experiences and future aspirations of consumers to possess these brands. In this context, we examine the effect of advertisement and word of mouth on brand equity. Data was collected from 384 shoppers from three supermarkets Eldoret town, Kenya, through self-administered questionnaires using systematic sampling technique. Out of these, 346 were used for the purpose of this study, which provided a response rate of 90 percent. Multiple regressions confirmed that advertisement exerts a significant, positive effect on brand equity; the results also reveal a positive and significant moderating effect of word of mouth on the relationship between advertisement and Brand equity. These results add some new understanding to the literature on advertisement, word of mouth, brand equity and their interrelationships which influence the development of the retail industry in a developing country context. Firms need to put more emphasis on advertisement by differentiating their ads from those of competitor’s brands, being creative in their adverts, improve reputation of their brands, focus effort on massage impression and opinion leaders whose word of mouth influences brand equity.
