This study was conducted to determine the effect of teaching and learning styles on students’ academic achievement in General Chemistry 1. There were 13 teachers and 123 students who were administered the Teaching Style Instrument and the Learning Style Inventory (LSI), respectively. Final grades of students were taken as evidence of their academic achievement. Findings revealed that teaching styles were transitional in teaching methods, student grouping, room design, teaching environment, teaching characteristics and educational philosophy.

Study of lipid profile in young smokers provides opportunity to explain the physiological consequences of the cigarette smoking activity. As the current report concerns solely to the study of lipid profile in normal healthy controls and smoking male subjects, the results of this study can be correlated with other biochemical, physiological and clinical aspects. This approach is hence, helpful for the future studies in understanding the underlying mechanism causing series of changes influenced by smoking activity.

We have calculated the high pressure properties, Grüneisen parameter and its volume derivatives of metals Platinum, Iron, Vanadium and Niobium using free volume theory. We have used some of the most reliable high pressure equation of state (EOS) to determine the thermo-elastic parameter and its higher order volume derivatives based on the generalized free volume theory. We have used two EOS`s (a) Stacey Reciprocal K-primed EOS, (b) Kushwah Logarithmic EOS to find the Gru ̈neisen parameter and its volume derivatives for metals at different values of compression from (1.0 to 0.5).

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a type of blood cancer which starts in the bone marrow. In AML, bone marrow cells do not mature. The immature cell are called blast cells, keep building up. This type of leukemia can spread quickly to the blood and to other parts of the body such as Lymph nodes, Liver, Spleen, Brain and spinal cord. In the present case study , a patient of age 23 years of acute leukaemia who was advised for bone marrow transplantation by allopathic hospital, came to take Ayurvedic consultation. The patient was treated with the concept of rakt dusti janya vyadhi.

Polyurethane is widely used in many products, such as the manufacture of plastic foams, sponges, paints, coatings and fibers. Conventional polyurethane is mostly produced from polyols and diisocyanate. The ecological problems related to the environmental pollution by synthetic polymers like polyurethane are one of the major concerns of the present days, especially because they are difficult to degrade easily and the entire process is time consuming.

Datura is a genus of nine species of poisonous vespertine flowering plants belonging to the family Solanaceae. They are known as angel's trumpets, sometimes sharing that name with the closely related genus Brugmansia, and commonly known as daturas. They are also sometimes called moonflowers. It is highly valued from time immemorial because of its vast medicinal properties. Ag(I), Cr(III), Fe(III) and Sb(III) complexes of bis(indoline-2-one)triethyelenetetraminewhich is madefrom isatinandtriethylenetetraminewere prepared and characterized by physical properties, spectral and magnetic methods. Based on the analytical results, electronic and infrared spectral data and magnetic susceptibility measurements, suitable structures have been proposed.

Lipstick, is a face-care cosmetic that commands a unique market as it is one of the most affordable cosmetic products available with as many as 80% of women using it regularly. Lipsticks need not be sterile and may contain low levels of microbial load during or prior to use. Lipsticks are often inadvertently consumed by the users and hence it is imperative that the health regulators have a microscopic look at the ingredients as well as the microbial flora (if any) in the lipsticks.

Some Schiff base complexes of Co (II), Ni (II) and Cu (II) containing heterocyclic amines has been prepared. The complexes were isolated from the reaction in solid forms and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, UV- Vis., and some physical measurements. The observed values confirmed that the complexes have tetrahedral/square planar geometry. The complexes have been found to have moderate to strong antimicrobial, antifungal and cytotoxic activity.

Cordyceps is an entomophagous fungus belonging to class ascomycetes and family Clavicipitaceae of the order Hypocreales and are known to parasitize the larvae, pupae or adults of insects. Of the 300 species reported, so far no other species is considered as medicinally important and costly as Cordyceps sinensis (Berk.) Sacc.. The fungus Cordyceps sinensis (Berk.) Sacc..
