This work consisted of identifying the residues generated in the technological process of wood machining and the techniques of their recovery within the company SICOFOR in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo. The ridges from the trunks of the trees were used as plant material. Data were collected through direct observation, interview and discussion, and then measurement of parameters. The results indicated that SICOFOR has a good production system because it generates little waste; i.e. a lower than average loss rate and a good waste management and recovery policy, however some ailments such as frequent power cuts causing the loss of time in the work, stoppage and or sporadic breakdowns of the unwinder prevent the smooth running of the work. To remedy this, it would be necessary to have a permanent supply of fuel to the generators during power cuts; a layout of the reser slats, there should be a permanent supply of fuel to the generators during power cuts; an arrangement of the reserve blades already sharpened; Continuous testing of heat ducts.
